Job Title: Sample Dryer Operator—Harvest Temporary
Department: Operations/Receiving Green Rice
Reports to: Quality Assurance Manager/Paddy Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary: $9.00 - $13.50
Location: Arbuckle, CA

Summary:  Sample of each green rice trailer - Dried for State appraisal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Obtain probe sample from each trailer and check moisture using Dickey-John Moisture meter.
• Communicate with Weigh Master to obtain dryer lot information.
• Record moisture.
• Save representative sample for each dryer lot.
• Enter all green rice receiving tags into computer system.
• Clean equipment and work area.
• Operate paddy sample dryer using CFF Procedure No. QA-0032-A Paddy Sample Drying Procedure.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have or have the ability to obtain a Forklift Operator License.

Other Qualifications: Must be able to work rotating shifts.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be able to lift and carry 25 to 50 pounds regularly and heavier amounts occasionally. Must be able to endure high noise levels; hearing protection is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
